I had the pleasure of first meeting Rebecca and Daryl a few years ago to take pictures of their gorgeous boy Jude when he was a two months old. Recently I was also able to photograph another major event in their lives – their wedding day! At Jude’s newborn session, there was a superhero theme and that snuck in to the wedding as well with the groomsmen. Rebecca and Daryl were married at the Kooindah Waters Resort in Wyong. The weather was beautiful, the grounds are stunning and from where I was it looked like everyone was having a great time. I always love to hear how couples met and the fact that these two met at a wedding is perfect! The small world connection here is that Rebecca’s cousin (who was the groom at the fated meeting) is one of Daryl’s best mates – and the Best Man at their wedding. These two wrote their own vows too which were really sweet. Stacy and Greg Stacy contacted me requesting a shorter coverage of three hours for a small wedding witnessed by only nearest and dearest. It was to be a cocktail reception at The Signals Room, a function area that is nestled under the acclaimed Burnt Orange Cafe in Mosman. Stacy told me that she and Greg had shed many of the usual traditions and trappings in favour of a low-key event to celebrate their love. The venue was perfect. Although recent extended rains meant the ceremony was unable to take place in the gardens as was originally planned, the alternative spot was also beautiful and gave peace of mind that guests and bridal party would remain dry if the weather turned. Congratulations guys! Venue – Signals Room, Burnt Orange Cafe Mosman Celebrant – Liam Chapman Celebrant Flowers – Stylish Scents Florist
