This last month I had a dear friend, Lauren (of Free Range Change) visit when she returned from Central America.Β The girls and I made some kokedama for the bathroom in the winter school holidays and Lauren mentioned she had always wanted to make some so we went to Bunnings (but I didn’t have my camera π ) and got the necessary material then got making.
I will put up some instructions soon but for now, here are some images from the kokedama making crafternoon we had.
This post is part of an international blog circle. On the 10th of each month we post 10 images and link to next photographer in the group. To follow through the circle, head over to True Mama Photography to see Shea’s beautiful collection.
These are AMAZING! I love them so much. The colors are fantastic, and the moments! <3
Looks like it was so much fun π Crafternoons are awesome.
Love those soil-covered hands!
We love soil covered hands in this family π
How neat! Iβd love to read more about her trip and how to make it! So glad you jumped in this month! And sorry I just wrote βneat.β Isnβt that a pretty old person word? no idea!
I won’t lie, when I read “neat” I thought of Jake Morgondorffer from Daria haha
My travel is done vicariously through Lauren. She spends a decent amount of time in places and spends it with the locals and taught herself Spanish when she was living in South America a while back. I still remember the day she rang me so excited because she had dreamed in Spanish for the first time. This trip was a shorter one with 4 months in Central America with 6 weeks in Guatemala and visiting Cuba and Mexico.
I will put up sme instructions on making kokedama in the next week or so and will let you know when they are up π
What wonderful stories hands can tell! Beautiful work!
I love hands and find myself often moving in on them. Thank you π
